Buck

pastel drawing by Steve Buckley
Early December, 13 1/4" X 9 7/8",
Pastel and Conte on paper
2009

A reductive visual tone poem consisting of a distribution of variously sized circles systematically and intuitively determined relative to a field indicated by a primary oval. "I intend for the color arrangement to suggest an emotional or visceral perception at once specific, yet simultaneously uncertain with ambiguity."
